Our History

Town & Country Industries:

• Began in 1957 as a hardware store
• A manufacturing division was started in the 60’s and the hardware division was sold
• In the 70s, wholesale sales became the primary focus and the retail division was sold
• Our first patio branch opened in Ft. Meyers in 1987
• T&C Metals, our Industrial division, was opened in 1992
• Our second patio branch opened in Tampa in 1998 along with its own manufacturing facility
• The Orlando Branch opened in 2001
• March 2004 saw the opening of the Pensacola Branch
• Melbourne and Port Charlotte opened in 2005
• cquired by ABC Supply Co., Inc. in 2005
• 2007 marks our 50-year anniversary!

• Started in 1982 by Ken Hendricks as American Builders and Contractors Supply
• In 1986 ABC Supply is Inc. 500’s 1st fastest growing company in the US
• 1997 ranked 321 in Forbes 500 Biggest Private Companies
• Reaches $1 Billion in sales in 1998
• 1998 ranked 167 in Forbes 500 Biggest Private Companies
• In 2004 reaches $2 Billion in sales
• ABC Supply acquires Town & Country Industries in 2005
• 2007 marks ABC Supply’s 25 year anniversary!
